Prep Care

Tattoo Prep Information

Whether this is your first or a long session and anywhere in between, this is a prep sheet on what to expect, what to bring, and what you could do for a great tattoo and healing process.

Hydrate - Drink plenty of water. Hydrated skin absorbs ink better, heals better, and looks better. Dehydration can make you feel unwell and lead to fainting, which is not fun during the tattooing process. I will end the session of you faint.

Sleep Well - Sleep is a beautiful thing. Need I say more. Especially for long sessions.

Avoid Alcohol and Aspirin - Alcohol and aspirin thins your blood, which can lead to complications during the tattoo process and make it difficult for your skin to hold ink. It's best to eliminate consumption a few days before and after. People under the influence of alcohol and other substances will not be tattooed.

Dress Comfortable - wearing loose clotting allows you to move around and adjust your position easily. It also gives better access to the area bring tattooed.

Moisturize - Use a water-based moisturizer once or twice a day for a few weeks before your tattoo appointment. Moisturized skin is easier for the artist to apply ink to and is more resilient to the tattooing process.

Eat Well - Eat well before your appointment. You can also bring snaking and water with you.

Skin I can't tattoo - sunburn, cut, scabbed, or varicose veins

** What to bring : Bring blankets and pillows so you can get comfy and stay warm. Small and drinks are great! Entertainment like books, tablets, phones, and don't forget your chargers; this will help with distractions, or you can just talk to me the whole time.

Don't hesitate to call or text if you have any questions or concerns!
